Back from Guangzhou

Home sweet home.

I’m back from Guangzhou. That’s about 30+ hours of no bath/clean up. So this is a quick & dirty update.

Spend my first night in the streets & casino of Macau. Won 300HKD.

Stayed in Panyu [番禺], it’s the town next to Guangzhou [广州]. Something like Kajang and KL. Digressing a bit… as we pass by Zhuhai [珠海], the city itself is like Putrajaya. The roads are wide, the landscaping along the main roads/streets is amazing. In a few years time, KL wouldn’t be able to compete even with a mid-sized town in China. Our BN politician (appallingly stupid and self-centred) are just too darned busy playing politic, harping on racial issues & comparing ourselves with with some 4th world nations.

Attended Ah Onn’s wedding. I was basically the official photographer despite my lack of experience. Thanks to Henry for over-promoting me. >.<

Went to Chime Long Amusement Park. Well, it’s sort of like Genting. Also went to Ju Long Bay hot springs resort [聚龙湾温泉度假区]. It was a nice mata air panas. Henry got an ear infection because air termasuk telinga. Also went shopping a little in GZ. I’ll be back to GZ again. This time, I’ll be heading to Jiuzhaigou [九寨沟+黄龙] or Zhangjiajie [张家界] or Guilin [桂林].

My last night was spend in the streets of Hong Kong… well 24hour McDonald’s actually.

Towards the last few days, I didn’t take a lot of photos. Probably because I feel so lost/blur and tired to actually take any photos at all. Crap, the Nikon D70s is a bloody hassle to take photos… too darn big @ss. I should so get a Canon G9 (or wait for Nikon/Fuji to come up with a G9 equivalent). Or maybe a Pentax K200, Olympus E-410.

Oh yeah, before I log off…
It’s not hard to get Henry drunk. All you need is a six-pack. Actually, half a six-pack will do. The crazy things he do & say when drunk is so dangerous he should be quarantine in Level 5298467 biohazard labs, not to mention he’ll keep on talking & talking & talking throughout the night. Oh, and camwhore too!

Why?

Because the brake lights are so d@mn bright so that it is visible even far-far away.

Becaues at night, the brake lights appear even brighter.

Because your brake lights are like ray guns shooting high energy red laser beams into my eyes.

Now what?

Shift into neutral gear (N), then pull the hand brake. After that, lift you foot off the brake pedal.

I hope after reading this, you practise it and tell others to do this too. Just be a little considerate for my eyes… and the eyes of the driver behind you.

Well, I’ll be back on the 30th. See you guys then! There’ll be lots of photos to share. I’ll be covering a wedding too. Henry’s cousin in Guangzhou is getting married. So He invited me along with him to visit GZ and jalan-jalan. Of course, he had to bluff his cousin that I’m a professional kamera-men. So off I go to GZ!

Oh, due to the fact that my flight is to arrive in Macau before Henry’s uncle pick us up… I figure I might as well drop by the casinos and have some fun. Hah hah! Please hope that I win some money. You’ll never know… when I come back and see some well wishers leaving a comment or two here, I might belanja minum or something.

Turn on your lights in the car park

To all drivers in Malaysia…

Please turn on your lights in a car park.

No matter how brightly lit the car park is, just f*cking turn it on!

Why?

Because there are imbecilic pedestrians like me who are late for yamcha with my ’pig friends dog acquaintances’ (猪朋狗友), sprinting past lines of cars across the car park.

Because there are mischievous (and short) children weaving in and out between the cars to be the first to reach the entrance.

Because there are even more idiotic drivers who suddenly appear out of thin air from the corner because they didn’t know you are also around the corner.

That’s why.

Refine & Define 2008 – The Dance Space

Oh, if I have not mentioned it before… now I’m telling you.

I sent in a form for the Men’s Health Refine & Define Challenge 2008. And I am selected as one of the 20 finalist. Woohoo! The challenge is to turn me into a real man’s man! X^D

So dancing is the third module out of 10. Off I went to The Dance Space in Plaza Damas on Saturday morning. The Dance Space is actually quite small lah. It’s just one big square room with wooden parque floor and a counter.

I forgot who our dance instructor’s name. She’s a Thai and she taught us hip-hop… Aiseh, what is this lah. I don’t even go clubbing, so hip-hop basically doesn’t mean much to me. I was hoping that they might teach us some latin dance or some simple waltz. But I guess no guy will want to hold another guy’s hand and waist in a waltz. Ah well… hip-hop it is.

Contrary to my initial believe, hip-hop is actually not easy. I had the chance to learn a few steps from a friend last time. I just can’t synchronise my hands with my legs with my hips with my butts. Either I looked like a rusted robot with jammed gears, or a bone-less octopus squirming when I dance hip-hop or go to the clubs. I like dancing, but I’m no good at it.

I stood at the front. Why? Because I’d rather face the dance instructor’s back than to have 19 guys’ ass poking my eyes. I was just right behind the the instructor… and a few times she jokingly [& sarcastically] mentioned not to stare at her ass. Ooops, I must have overdone it. X^D

That’s Alif feigning exhaustion.

After 2 hours, everyone was tired. There was a lot of movement, ass grinding, booty shaking & blur faces. If you want aerobic exercise the fun way, take hip hop lessons. We split and I went off for lunch with Alif, Dixon & Amran.

Stupid customer service of Belkin. Belkin’s customer service in Malaysia is non-existent. They only have a toll free line which will route (pronounced root, not ra-oot) your call to another continent (India? Philippines?). The CS representative will take down all sort of details about you and the product and confirm with you so many times that you begin to wonder if you just called a survey agency. It’s d*mn irritating. Then they will promise you that tech support will call you soon. How soon, only god knows. They were supposed to call me 3 weeks ago.

To Belkin…
If you can’t provide support here in Malaysia (I wonder why, since you do have an office across the bridge in Singapore), at least guide us to someone who can! List contact details of the official distributor of Malaysia (which is AVF). At least we know who to deal with when the Wireless G Router (pronounced rooter, not ra-ooter) goes bonkers. Your stupid CS rep don’t even know the distributor of Malaysia. Come on… don’t you train them properly? And your tech support still have not called me yet!

Elections 2008 – Debunking MCA’s Education Myth

Now let’s take a closer look at MCA’s ad in the papers. It claims that it has helped Chinese education from the inside. This is bullsh!t.

Helping students appeal for JPA scholarships & public U entry are not what a prominent political party like MCA should be doing. Holding seminars/road shows to coach SPM leavers how to fill in university application form so as to increase the chances of entry is not a political party’s job.

In fact, no political party should be doing any of the above. Let the NGO’s do their thing. Political parties (through the gahmen which execute their policies) should be fighting for safe-guarding fair selection of scholars and fair entry to public U. With a fair system, there wouldn’t be a need for us to appeal here & there, no teary eyed parents+students appearing in Chinese newspapers crying foul over the system, no busybody bloggers making a heck of a noise about the issue. MCA is indirectly perpetuating this never-ending situation so that they can remain relevent to SPM leavers. This is very-very selfish of MCA. It’s like betraying the Chinese Malaysian community.

How about Chinese primary schools? After so much noise from the Chinese Malaysian community & various Chinese NGO’s the gahmen has only approved a minute amount of money to SJK(C)’s around the nation. Wah… Hisap-pudding gives us a few mere millions, and Ong Ka Ting have to go to the newspapers and praise Hisap-pudding as the saviour, the angel that descended from heaven… & OKT himself as the hero who has successfully called upon the saviour. Ptooi!

What is this?! OKT & MCA, you’ve got no f*cking balls kah? Have to suck Hisap-pudding’s one kah?

Ong Ka Ting… clean & honest (apparently) but ball-less & dick-less (actually).

MCA should grow some balls & tell the BN whip system to go far-far and play SM alone. F*ck BN’s regulations… the main concern should be the Constitution & the people’s rights. Support & allow members to speak up against foul play & injustice.

Elections 2008 – Bandar Tun Razak’s Tan Chai Ho

This is Tan Chai Ho.

I don’t like him because seriously… I don’t know what has he been up to in the past four years as Bandar Tun Razak’s (BTR) wakil. My dad says he’s an imbecilic dimwit. Maybe barely passed his SPM… liddat also can become deputy minister.

Apparently too, he has a mistress/2nd wife. What is this? Can’t keep your stick in your pants? Lucky fella… thankfully the Chua Soi Lek case didn’t happen to you, eh? I wonder why all these big shot politicians like to fool around when they already have a family.

Last week’s Ops Crocodile-tears was a joke! TCH went to a tamil primary school. The school was flooded and the students have no choice but to study in the school field. TCH said that he was so moved & deeply sympathised the students’ situation that tears rolled down his cheek! Bwahahahah! Come on lah, TCH. Muka pun tak pernah tunjuk sekali di sini… tiba-tiba menangis berpura-pura empati. Siapa nak percaya?! (kecuali auntie dan uncle yang bodoh sial sajalah yang percaya air mata buaya engko.)

I don’t know what is his stand on many of the current issues. Things like petty crimes in my area, building new Chinese primary schools, rising living expenses, water cannon’s and harsh treatment of BERSIH ralliers (he was the deputy home minister after all), snatch theft & violent street crimes on innocent people, yadda… yadda… yadda…

Where’s your manifesto, nigga? Without a manifesto, how to vote for you? I better vote Khalid Ibrahim of PKR, at least I know there’ll be some real check and balance in the parliament.

Elections 2008 – Brainwashing

Woohoo! It’s election time. This will be the first time I vote. The last time, I was just a few months away from my voting age. That time, I believe I might have voted for BN just because I thought they were doing all fine, and AAB promised all kind of good sh!t that no good-rakyat can ignore. Who doesn’t want a clean & fair gahmen, eh?!

4 years down the road, and the good sh!t has turn into bullsh!t. None of the clean stuff is delivered. Rafidah + AP is still a minister with more thing needing AP’s, not just cars; Hisap-pudding + keris is still shouting for Chinese Malaysian’s blood; Pak Lah + yatch + 60mil-home-in-Perth is still sleeping through his office, and in the midst became Santa Claus for his UMNO cronies by giving out 600mil Ringgit for UMNO constituencies [for developement, kononnya. Ptooi!].

If you read the papers, listen to the radio, and watch TV/Astro… the amount of advertisement bombarding us is crazy. If I were a foreigner, I might mistake Malaysia for a dictatorship not unlike of Saddam’s Iraq, Mao’s China, or Kim Jong Il’s North Korea. Think about it, why are the people of these countries so compliant to their crazy leaders? Well… Saddam’s statues are all over Baghdad, so is Kim Jong Il’s fat face posted all over Pyongyang.

Now look at Malaysia, Pak Lah’s sleeping head is hung above all offices in Malaysia. Recently, I even see his face being projected onto the DBKL building. (Note: our loyalty is suppose to be to the Agung and country, not the PM and his new bitch [perhaps more about this topic in another post]). What has become of Malaysia?!

Don’t think it doesn’t work. It actually is very effective. Unless you have already made up your mind to vote for your chosen parties, chances are you’ll be brainwashed into voting for BN, or worse — believing that BN is actually all pure and kind and honest. Even I have to consciously remind myself not to let BN’s bullcrap take over my mind.

After all these brainwashing, I hope you guys/gals/ladies & gentlemen remain sane and logical. I’m not telling you who to vote, but I seriously hope you vote for the opposition (I’ll discuss this in the next post, so keep a close eye).
